Cemetery Restoration

Gravestone Restoration & Repair

We partner with Texas Cemetery Restoration to preserve and restore aging headstones and markers in historic cemeteries such as Young, Collinsworth, Old City, and Davis. In addition to restoration efforts, we’ve enhanced these sites by installing new fences, gates, driveways, and walking paths to improve accessibility and protect their historic integrity.

Wayside Signs

Alongside our cemetery restoration work, we also create educational wayside signs—researching, writing, and installing them at historic cemeteries, trails, and other meaningful places.

Heritage Cemetery Tours

We strive to make Plano’s historic cemeteries welcoming and accessible for both locals and visitors. Through annual events like Tombstone Mysteries, Hike Through History, Veterans Day, and Wreaths Across America, we highlight Plano’s hidden historical gems and help foster a more informed and connected community.

Supporting Eagle Scouts

We’re proud to support Scouts on their journey to Eagle Scout by offering a variety of impactful project opportunities in our historic cemeteries across North Texas.

Cemetery Projects

Bethany Cemetery

Over the years we have completed multiple projects at Bethany Cemetery. Projects have included a new fence, a new gate & driveway, gravestone restoration & cleaning and wayside signs.

Bowman Cemetery

Bowman Cemetery, in East Plano, was one of the first cemetery restoration project completed by the Plano Conservancy. The restoration was completed in 2012.

Davis Cemetery

Dunaway Cemetery

In 2019 we received a Preservation Texas Honor Award for the resotoration of Davis Cemetery. Davis Cemetery is a historic African American cemetery located in Plano's Douglass Community.

Dunaway Cemetery

Dunaway Cemetery

In 2014 a private donor asked us to restore this historic cemetery in Frisco, Texas.

Leach Thomas Cemetery

Leach Thomas is a unique small cemetery in East Plano. In 2015 we installed a walkway to create a path through the cemetery.

Old City Cemetery

Old City is another cemetery where we have completed multiple projects. The projects included GPR assessment, gravestone cleaning & repair, a new fence and wayside signs.

Plano Mutual Cemetery

Plano Mutual Cemetery

Plano Mutual Cemetery is one of the largest cemeteries in Plano. Due to it's size projects have been done in Phases. We have completed 4 Phases as of 2021.

Routh Cemetery

Plano Mutual Cemetery

In 2019 we were fortunate to partner with the Collin County Historical Commission and the Routh Cemetery Association to  restore Routh Cemetery.

Emergency Storm Restoration

Emergency Storm Restoration

During the storms of October 20th, 2019,  Plano's Young and Rowlett Cemeteries received major damage. We worked with the City of Plano to acquire emergency funding to restore these cemeteries.

Young Cemetery

Emergency Storm Restoration

The restoration of Young Cemetery was completed in 2018. The cemetery is landlocked by an apartment complex to the west and a golf course to the south and east.  The one-acre site was set aside for family members and friends who helped settle the area near the present-day crossroads of Plano, McKinney, Frisco and Allen.

Wreaths Across America

Wreaths Across America

Wreaths Across America is an annual event which honors our country's deceased veterans.
